I use a similar font for annotating design work. Super legible for everyone, even at it's smallest.

I picked up the habit of writing all in uppercase from my bout as a CAD designer and I'm never going back.

One of the designers I work with never shuts his caps lock key off. Even for e-mails.

It's pretty humorous.

Former CAD designer? Guilty as charged.

I really really really wish I could print legibly. If I write something, immediately I can read it, but if it's been a week or two, it takes a lot of deciphering. And it's my own writing.

I remember in University I would have pages of exams crossed out and the marker would write "can't read". Damn you left handedness!

I took a class in high school about Mechanical / Architectual design, and I tried to do the lettering. I wasn't bad at the drawing part, but I could never quite get the lettering right. Instead I stuck to CAD and GIS.

I cannot read this shit when printed on anything less than a full blueprint set. We have some plans that were sent to us in 11x17, and it just looks like a mass of circles and squiggles. I find that on a lot of plans, there's no space between any letters in a word. Drives me nuts.

If you leant to write in Arabic you wouldn't smudge so often! Try practising different styles, find what you like (or, is most legible) then write out, 'the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog' repeatedly until it becomes habitual. I've only settled on an uppercase font in the last two years.

My writing kind of all runs together. H's always become whatever was next to it, and it regresses from there. At age 27 I think it's too late to change. I am encouraged by my father, whose writing is potentially even worse, and yet has done well in life. He'll be 60 next year!
